I'm so excited! To make things easier, quicker and more convenient for guests looking to stay at Old Charm Bed and Breakfast I've decided to add a new feature to Old Charm's website. Now guests can check availability online and/or make a reservation request! How convenient.

busy...

So, over the past nine days I have been in the process of transforming my dining room. Below are some pictures that I took last summer or fall. This is after I 'de-cluttered' some. While the design of the room was done pretty well it was just falling out-of-date and it wasn't my style.
I've always loved how chartreuse/lime green and orange worked together, so that was my inspiration for 'the new look.' I decided to go for a mix of contemporary/traditional/cottage. So far I have succeed well!

So after seven days the wallpaper is gone, the walls are painted, I have a new chandelier and custom curtains. Since my ceilings are quite high and the availability of unique curtains is limited, I decided to sew my own. (I did pretty well and they are super easy...but not quite finished yet)

So, over the next couple days and even further into the future, I will share the progress of the room with you. I still have no area rug.... or 'things' for the walls... and I want to add/remove a couple pieces of furniture, but hopefully in the coming months the project will be finished!

one more day of snow... i hope

So, it seems that I've been away for a while again. Time certainly does fly. As I mentioned before, I did promise to be better at posting more often, but yet again, time has slipped away from me.

Anywho, I am back with a long to-do list over the next couple weeks. I have some great ideas that inspired me. As I complete these ideas/projects I will post them in hope they will inspired you also.

This is my latest creation. It's a Tropical Breakfast Parfait. I was tired of my standard parfait of berries, yogurt and granola so I decided to mix things up!

So, included in this breakfast delight is luscious layers of vanilla yogurt, granola, pineapple, oranges, banana and fresh toasted coconut! Yum! The only thing I would change is to add a slice of kiwi for color... unfortunately I didn't have any when I made these. Looks delicious huh?
And yes... they're calling for snow tomorrow and Wednesday morning. :(
