dear canon

while i'm still not sure exactly how to use you yet.

i do know that i love you.

every time i hear the sound of the shutter closing i feel like i'm capturing a little magic.

and maybe i am.

thankfully you make it easy and wonderful.

although jax isn't quite sure what to think of you (he'll come around),

i'm enjoying you immensely,

and look forward to discovering all you can do.

  3. You seriously took these the first week? Amazing. And, I'm annoyed with you for your innate talent. I still feel inept with mine.

  4. next purchase: the 50mm 1.8 prime (fixed) lens. at only $100 on amazon, it offers a gorgeous depth of field, and with the wide open aperture, allows for shooting in low light at controllable shutter speeds. and no, i'm not a canon rep or salesperson ;) cheers!

  7. Hi Michael! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comments!

I have a T1i, also, and it's been really great to me so far. It's never ending the things I can learn about it. Love it.

Love your blog as well! Adding you to my reader now, and following you on twitter! :) Have a great day!

  8. I can totally relate, I just got a macro lens for Christmas and am shooting 3-400 shots a day of my dog alone. ELP ME! I have no idea how to use this lens much less the camera I borrowed (stole) from my husband. I need to take a class or a least read a tutorial as to what all these bells, whistles and buttons do.

Your photos are fantastic, maybe I should take a class from you!

  9. I can so relate to this!

I treated myself to a Canon EOS Rebel XS for my birthday a couple months ago, and I'm still learning. But that shutter sound - you nailed it - it's so captivating. It makes me feel so good to hear that click, like even if this photo doesn't come out exactly the way I want it, maybe the next one will...

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for the sweet words! They mean a lot to me, so thank you for that.
