yesterday i broke out my spring wreath and i don't care who knows it! with two other doors to decorate (back and porch) mother nature will have no choice to accept that spring is here! nothing wrong with a little encouragement. but i'm going to need your help too.
and what better way than to get everyone involved then by hosting a little link up party! i've never hosted a one of these before so i'm super excited.
the party will begin this friday march 4th at 11am EST. so you have a couple days to break out your spring front door decor! we'll show mother nature who's boss.
i'll include all the details in fridays post. but here are a couple things to get your creative juices flowing.
you can enter as many times as you like, but it must be a door decoration ... something you can hang on your front door, an interior door, etc. be creative!
i'll have a button available (hopefully by tomorrow) and this should be included in your post or on your blog somewhere. i mean, we are up against mother nature here, we must spread the word! right?
the party will remain open for one week. once closed i will selected five of my favorite door decors and announce those here. then i will post a poll and let YOU choose the winner! sound fair?
there will be one winner and they will receive a lovely (and i do mean lovely) assortment of my favorite spring decor hand selected by me, from my gift shoppe. i'll show you the collection of winnings on friday as well.
sound good? hope you can join in on the party!! and be sure to spread the word.
also, can anyone recommend a good link up and/or poll tool? this is all new to me so any help is appreciated. thanks!

Oooh this sounds like so much fun! I don't have any spring door decor yet, so I'll have to come up with something cute!!
I love your wreath! It's so bright and cheerful!
Love it! I think Mother Nature is going off my front door decor ...it's skis saying let it snow! It's coming down today....enough is enough! I'm ready for Spring!
Bring on the spring flowers!!
Maybe you might like inlinkz.com one of my friends uses it, and it puts a cute little thumbnail pic up as well! Then of course, there's always the old 'mr. linky'.
linkytools.com is the only one I've used. Super simple and user-friendly. And it allows for photo thumbnails.
Fun idea!
Great idea! I'll be joining in.
Ironically, I just hung my spring wreath as well and I thought for a second that the neighbors might think I am rushing it a bit! I am basing my decision on the ground hog.
What a fun idea!
Hi, I found you via Maya and your wonderful oars. Love them! I then saw the party you are having and I'll have to come back to see what everyone links up. I am looking for door color ideas to go with my brick front house. Not as dark as your brick though. Can't wait too see some ideas!
I love that door. The wreath is great too but the color of the door is stunning.
Michael, the forsythia in your wreath is gorgeous! I found forsythia stems at Wally World the other week, which I incorporated into a vase of curly willow. I may just have to go back and get more to try out on my sadly bare grapevine wreath.
Have you seen "The Kids Are All Right"? Mark Ruffalo's character says, "shut the front door!" multiple times and it just tickled me so much. Love that you named this post using that phrase! :)
I L-O-V-E it! Thank you for the inspiration. Please visit me anytime at http://twogingerprinces.blogspot.com/
