there’s nothing better than a yummy recipe. wait. that’s a lie. let me rephrase … there’s nothing better than a yummy recipe that’s easy to make.

i’ve had this recipe for a couple years now and for some reason i never made it. i tore it out of a magazine at some point. pillsbury i believe.

the recipe is as follows….

twists:

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

tablespoons granulated sugar

teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 teaspoon maple flavor

2 to 3 teaspoons milk

directions:

heat oven to 375°F. ppray 1 large or 2 small cookie sheets with cooking spray. in small bowl, mix pecans, granulated sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

unroll both cans of dough; separate into 8 rectangles. firmly press perforations to seal.

brush each rectangle with melted butter. sprinkle 1 tablespoon pecan-sugar mixture evenly over each rectangle; press in lightly. starting at longer side, roll up each rectangle; pinch edges to seal.

with sharp knife, cut one roll in half lengthwise, forming 2 strips. with cut side up, carefully overlap strips 2 times to form twist. press ends together to seal. place on cookie sheet. repeat with remaining dough. sprinkle with any remaining pecan-sugar mixture.

bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

in small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. drizzle over warm rolls. serve warm!

so, i was busy making these at 4:30AM so i don’t have any ‘in progress’ photos, just the results. which, like i said, yummy and easy. no mixer + no yeast = great early morning baking!

in other news, check out the amazing collection of glass cloches (or bell jars… or glass domes) that arrived the shoppe today!

aren’t they beautiful!? oh, the possibilities! unless shannon breaks in and steals them all.

Hahaha I’ve got my black ninja outfit all ready to go. I’ve seriously got a problem with those things. And I think I might need a painted table, every dish looks even better next to the “Eat”, Love it.
