the other day the lovely and super talented maureen from maureen cracknell handmade pinned the cutest little print. this one.
so i used it as inspiration for a chalkboard drawing for that little chalkboard i painted on my cabinet door.
remember?
anyway, here's how it turned out!
pretty cute, right?
now, i know it's perfect. but i'm kind of tired of perfect. i'm guess i'm learning to appreciate the value of imperfection. the beauty of homemade. the importance of character.
with thousands of blogs and places like pinterest, i think the pressure to have everything 'perfect' is so high these days. don't you? you must have perfect photographs, perfect ideas, perfect wording. it's exhausting.
and with a goal of simplifying this year, i've kicked perfection to the curb and it's not longer welcome here!
is anyone else feeling this way too? or am i out on a limb (pun intended) on this one?
at any rate, i hope you like my little tree .... imperfections and all!

Oh, I love it!!! We are SO in sync, it's scary! Yes, I am with you!! Here's to being perfectly imperfect, quilts and all!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks for the shout out! ;)

ReplyDeleteYour chalkboard tree is wonderful! You are smart to give up on perfection - it's intimidating to others anyway. Imperfect leaves room for fun :)
