FOLK Issue III Subscription Giveaway

as promised i have a pretty awesome giveaway today! 


if you are new to my blog, or haven't heard of FOLK magazine, you seriously need to check it out. it's simply amazing! each issue is filled with creative ideas, recipes, stories, and a shared love of America. the magazine shares the American story. part lifestyle, part editorial, all heart.


for the past two issues i've been part of the editoral staff writing a column called 'inspired by...' in this issue, as i mentioned on friday, there is an amazing feature on my bed and breakfast with a column i wrote about my story and how i made my dream come true. i also have an article on how to make some pretty awesome  artwork using maps. i'll share pieces of the that with you later in february.

  1. I don't live in the United States but in the far north of Alberta where it's cold for eight months of the year. I subscribe to a couple of U.S. magazines and love the content. FOLK is one I have not seen before and would love to get it.

  13. If I could visit anywhere in America, I know it may seem crazy, but I really want to see Alaska's beauty. There are many other places as well, like New England in the fall, Washington D.C., Washington state....and the list goes on and on.....

  14. The one place in the united states I would love to visit is South Dakota. I love the beautiful landscapes and find the colors and history inspiring. I would love to go out there with my travel art journal and just explore and be creative

I would really love to visit ANYWHERE to tell you the truth, I grew up on a farm in(Eula Texas) a tiny area of Texas,we were very very poor, and I survived extream child abuse, so Family Vacations were unheard of in our family. But I guess if i had to choose a place....I loved the songs we sung every morning in school about My land is your land, and the Red Wood Forest always sounded amazing.   33. Honestly, the first place that came to mind was I'd visit my family in GA. We currently live in CA (my husband is in the military) and I'm not really sure when we'll have an opportunity to make a trip to GA to see our family. It's not a vacation destination, but definitely the first place I'd go if I had the chance. :)

  37. I would love to visit NY city with my family. I went when I was younger, but my husband and kids have never been there. Central park picnics, time square ETC!!! (not a place to live in my opinion, but definitely a place to visit). FINGERS CROSSED!!!!! I love this magazine!

  43. There are SO many places I want to visit.
    I would like to go to Montana and see the "bad lands". I want to go to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and the horse carving that is there. I want to see all the great lakes in Minnesota (said to be over 1,000). I want to go to NY and see a REAL ballet.
    I'm inspired by nature and by places I see. I want to see Maine in the fall and watch the leaves fall... its suppost to be amazing.
    I would love to go sit on a boat in louisianna and listen to the music there. I want to experience the history of places. I want to stand at the 4 corners. (Colorado-my state, arizona, utah and new mexico's corners come together at this spot) I love to travel and I want to see it all.

  64. I would LOVE to visit the lightning fields outside of Marfa, TX (would also like to go to Marfa). There are thousands of lightning rods that attract up to 100 strikes per second during periods of electrical activity. I've heard it's life changing.

  69. I have wanted to see the Grand Canyon ever since I was little kid, watching Ward Bond on TV. I was once even close enough to see a sign that said "Grand Canyon 60 miles" with an arrow pointing that-a-way, but time constraints would not allow me to make that detour. Now that's been nearly thirty years ago and I still regret having to pass that sign by!
