very PINteresting {pasta, pasta, pasta}

Since I was out of town on Sunday I didn’t get a chance to post my weekly ‘very PINteresting‘. I’m finding that most everyone appreciates a group of similar recipes. Also, based on some wonderful emails, I’m reading that the creators of these recipes are also appreciating the visits from my Pinterest followers.

So, if you you have idea for next week’s ‘very PINteresting’, please leave a comment below. It doesn’t’ have to be food related either. I’m hoping to mix it up with something you can’t eat next week.

This week I rounded up sixteen delicious pasta recipes. Let me tell you, if I could eat pasta every day for the rest of my life I could I die a happy man. I just love the stuff! I’m a certified pasta junkie. If there is such a thing.

You’ll also notice that several of these are from The Pioneer Woman. Ree makes THE best pastas! Her red pepper cream sauce is off the charts amazing. It’s one of my favorites for sure.

Hope you enjoy this collection as much as I do!

  1. OMG Love all of them! As for next week, what about something with all the great household/cooking tips like putting cooked chicken breasts in a mixer to shred them or all the random ones on Pinterest!
BTW, I found you because of TLC…and love it! Hopefully one of these days I will be in your neck of the woods and can stay in the cover room! All the best from Texas!

  2. I’m right there with you on being a Pasta Freak! I can’t wait to try some of these–thanks for the list.

For upcoming pinteresting posts–I agree with the other commenter about something spring-related: Spring decorating, light recipes, salads, gardens, planting, travel destinations, spring color quilts…

Whatever it winds up being, I’m sure we’ll love it!

  3. These all sound so delicious! I love pasta, but the hubby does not. I’ll have to save these recipes for he days he is out of town traveling! =)

  4. For next weeks round up, how about some pins that show (and identify) some awesome paint colors in rooms? You seem to really have a knack for that, but I really struggle. Took me 3-4 cans of paint on both of my kids rooms to get the right shades. I have yet to tackle the main living areas because I get so discouraged trying to find the right color!

No idea if that is even something that would work for this, but just an idea :)

  5. Pasta IS the food of the gods :) Our fave lately is a lobster ravioli with a topping of diced tomatoes, spinach, garlic, and just a bit of butter-sauteed until the spinach is just wilted and the tomatoes warm.

And if carbs are an issue, Dreamfields is a company that makes very low carb pasta that actually tastes good!

Artwork on pinterest is always of interest to me.
Modern quilts, too-something that can go in a sophisticated space.

  6. I’m new to your blog and recently subscribed. A great group of pasta recipes. In fact your whole recipe section of this blog is just so great. Many thanks for sharing such great ideas!

  7. OMgosh…this is the WORST thing you could’ve posted today! I’m VERY pregnant, and VERY addicted to pasta! I’m going to the grocery store right now to pick up the missing ingredients I need for the Mexican Stuffed Shells.

And tomorrow I’ll make the Spinach Rolls.

And this weekend, I’ll make the Rigatoni Florentine…

  8. Do you have a recipe for Pasta Giovanni? This restaraunt we frequent makes a delicious one but won’t give up the recipe. We have found recipes online but none have the creamy red sauce this one has…

  9. Hi Michael,
Would you consider reviewing our Color Analysis iPhone App? It is based on color research used in today’s marketing and even in the colors used in preparing meals.

By simply selecting in sequence one’s preferences, we can determine one’s deepest feelings and provide insight for them into how to plan for living a happier life.

Based on psychological testing of over 30,000 people, the iPhone is a perfect platform for this evaluation. The iPhone has the flexibility and power to handle all 256 interpretations without requiring a paid interpreter to decipher the information.

We’d be pleased to have your input and if you are willing to, the App is being provided to you at Just use the Promo Code provided at the website and leave your review at the App Store.

You may also find it intriguing enough to do a post on the research. I’d be happy to provide the details.

    Please let me know.

  10. well, this I suppose isn’t pinable, YET, I guess I will have to make some this week and take pictures, I happen to have everything on hand, we would LOVE to see one of our recipes up here!

I will probably come back Thursday and let you know you can pin it, I also have everything (Pictures) I need to post my Chicken Ziti Broccoli recipe, except a computer that can handle my everything at once (hopefully something else that can be rectified this week.

I am ready to run to the 24 hour CVS or 7-11 to buy heavy cream for the Vodka penne! No, seriously it’s 1 am, and I worked 10 hours, and I REALLY want that!

  11. How about peanut butter bars for dessert? I am
looking for one no bake with powdered sugar and
peanut butter as the base and chocalate melted on top. Great pasta dishes I’d love to see you
dance in the kitchen. Great site. kathy

  12. I’ve made the Stuffed Mexican Shells, my only suggestion is to double the recipe!!! Will be trying the Grilled Chicken Rigatoni Florentine. Keep up the good work, love ya! Oh, we are remodeling and are creating a large open concept kitchen, dining and living area. Would love a study on neutrals for the wall color.

  13. First of all, this post is amazing! My husband and I LOVE LOVE LOVE pasta! Can’t wait to try a bunch of these :)

Second, I think a great theme would be buttons!! I love buttons, and there are tons of posts on pinterest of things to do with buttons. I also have a blog with a button post. Anyway, tons of ways to use grandma’s old buttons and new ones too, of course!

If you are interested, check out my button post for button bobby pins

I’ve also seen all kinds of decorating, lampshades, cards, etc with buttons :) You’re awesome!

  14. All the pasta recipies look wonderful. My biyfriend loves spicy food, so I would really like to try the Firebird Chicken Pasta. Would you happen to know the ratio for the ingredients in the Chili Rub?

  15. I have a question. Is there another way to get the Mexican Stuffed Shells recipe? I can’t open it. All I get are symbols. Other recipes on this site open but not that one. Help.
Thank you. It looks delicious in the picture.
