Ingredients

Let’s gather up the ingredients you’ll need to make this sweet Valentine’s Day cocktail.

  • Vanilla Vodka: A flavored vodka that infuses the drink with a delicate, sweet vanilla essence.
  • White Chocolate Liqueur: This creamy liqueur adds a touch of elegance and a rich, white chocolate flavor. Previously, I used Godiva’s White Chocolate Liqueur. However, that is no longer sold, so I now use Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur which I love just as much!
  • Amaretto Liqueur: A sweet and slightly nutty liqueur that brings a deep almond undertone.
  • Grenadine: A vibrant red syrup that provides a hint of fruity sweetness and a beautiful color.
  • Half and Half: This dairy component adds creaminess, creating a luxuriously smooth texture.
  • Honey: Used for the glass rim, it gives a natural sweetness and helps the sprinkles to adhere.
  • Sprinkles: Colorful and fun, sprinkles add a festive flair to the presentation of the cocktail. I like hearts, but you can use whatever you have / like. These heart sprinkles are my personal favorite.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I use if I don’t have vanilla vodka?

Regular vodka works fine. You can add a drop of vanilla extract or use a vanilla bean to infuse the vodka with vanilla flavor. I also really like whipped vodka!

What are some good food pairings with this cocktail?

This Valentine’s Day cocktail pairs wonderfully with light appetizers, chocolate desserts, or a romantic cheese platter.

How do I get the sprinkles to stick to the rim of the glass?

Dip the rim of the glass first in honey and then gently into the sprinkles. The honey acts as a glue, holding the sprinkles in place.

Can I use a different type of glass if I don’t have a martini glass?

Of course! Any cocktail glass will do. The presentation might be different, but it will still taste delicious.

  3. Hey there IBC!
Love this drink as I’m not a big fan of straight, hardcore martini’s yet love drinking pretty drinks and of course who doesn’t have “cute heart sprinkles” laying around the house that need to be used.
