Summer Home Tour 2014
This Post May Contain Affiliate Links. Please Read Our Disclosure PolicyHello, everyone! This is the first time I’ve ever participated in a blogger home tour series, and I couldn’t be more excited If you are stopping over from The Hunted Interior, welcome! Isn’t Kristin’s home fabulous? I am majorly in love with her outdoor space.
Gina of Shabby Creek Cottage is graciously hosting the 2014 Summer Tour of Homes. You can check out this post for links to the 25 bloggers who are participating in the series. Start there, and each blogger will guide you to the next person on the tour.
But before you do that, now that you’re here, you might as well have a look around my abode. Because I’m weird and the upstairs of my house is in a bit of a transition (meaning it’s a hot mess), we are going to stay on the first floor for this summer house tour. Sound good? Over the past year, there have been a lot of changes in my little house. For those of you who are new to Inspired by Charm, my house previously functioned as a Bed and Breakfast and Gift Shop. About a year and half ago, I closed my B&B and turned this big old 100-year-old house into my home.
This is going to be a photo tour so I will be brief with my words and let the photos do the talking. I will link up any relevant posts below the questions for more information and / or tutorials. If you have any other questions, please leave a comments and I will do my best to answer them.
Enjoy the tour and stay as long as you like. I’ll put on some coffee or pour a cocktail.

Well, I certainly hope you enjoyed looking around today! Hopefully, on the next tour, I can get things together and take you upstairs where all the magic (or lack thereof) happens! Looking at the pictures, I’m reminded how much this house has evolved over the years. I am filled with a sense of pride, but also realize there are so many things to improve and lots of projects left to complete.
Now, don’t let the fun stop here. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, there are 25 bloggers participating in this tour so go check them all out (links below). I sort of feel like a schlub when I compare my home to theirs. For me, it’s just an honor to be included in the tour.
If you are following this tour in order, next up is the uber-talented Jennifer Rizzo. I’m excited to see her happy space all ready for summer!
Thank you again for visiting. I’ll post the full list of bloggers below to make things super easy for you.

Hi! your article is really helpful for me. your guidance is really helpful for me, if you want to know more about the ideas for selection of paints colors for room then you visit a website for more information.
AHAHHA …
Its nice to read this summer home .
You really amazing content writer .
Thank you so much
Absolutely beautiful!!! But I will admit…. I am smitten with the “Trim” … the “hardwood floors”….”the baseboards” … “the doors”.. “the door knobs”… and those “amazing windows” on each side of the fireplace!!! 🙂 I am a sucker for Craftsman style homes anyway…. the way you have preserved the style of the home…. and then the decor!!! Welll… Just love it!!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for your suggestion. i will take it in consideration next time.
Thanks for sharing your awesome home tour. Your project gave me inspiration to renovate my bedroom and master bath.
Amazing ideas you have.. I really appreciate for your work!
Thanks for your suggestion. I would love to take this out for sure. Nice articles.
What a beautiful home, it’s so charming! Your colour usage is so perfect 🙂
WOW, This is really amazing home design. Your share all bathroom and bedroom improved information really great. Thank you for share helpful tip.
Remodeling can also take on the form of revamping or adding a bathroom, redoing a kitchen, overhauling your home’s exterior for improved curb appeal, or completing an addition to increase your home’s square footage and add valuable space. Big and small changes can both have an impact and will improve the way your home looks and functions, increasing its value and making it more enjoyable for you and your family.
Adding up some cool design on your house like these really pops out and adds some more value to the house.
that is a good idea. I actually used something like that on our bedroom windows. They are eye level to the street and have the lower half frosted let’s the light in and gives us som privacy. Thanks for reminding me.
I’ve always been impressed with your dedication and eye for design. I know this can be trivial for almost everyone else in the world, but I’m worried about trying to find an aesthetic for my bedroom. Thank you!
Just beautiful!!! This maybe a strange question but where did you get your curtains and blinds in your livingroom? We are buying our first home and I just love how your home is fun, happy and clean. Looks like it just feels good to be in. I love it!
SO FABULOUS! LOVE EVERY ROOM SO MUCH. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHERE THAT FANTASTIC LIGHT BULB CHANDELIER IS FROM!
